Putting together a business-focused approach to configuration management and making sure that it fits into the overall change process. Building and realising a credible business case for CM across platforms and throughout the lifecycle. Getting better at delivering the changes that the business wants through improved processes.

Jenny's talk is entitled "Spotlight on Service Management". Her main topics are: Anticipation, not recrimination and how to avoid saying you're sorry.

14:15 Requirements Management and Testing, Ed McMahon, EMA LTD.

Statistics show that the majority of production errors are introduced at the requirements stage. This is amplified as there is a constant business need to change requirements to reflect the dynamic nature of business. These change have to be managed, controlled and tracked and reflected in the final product.

Ed will also speak about the close relationship that testing has with requirements management and the importance of Configuration Management to both of these parts of the life cycle.
